Terrain "Smooth Height" tool not working

Hello everyone. Sorry if this question was already answered before but I couldn’t find anything that fixes my problem. I’m having troubles with the smoothing tool in the terrain editor, it’s simply not working. When I select it and apply it on the terrain, it doesn’t do anything. The Raise/Lower, Paint Height and Paint Texture tools are working perfectly, it seems that the Smooth tool is the only one that doesn’t work. I tried creating a different scene with a different terrain and the result is the same.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Not seen this ever and can't find a similar question about it, can you post screen shots or even upload a clip to YouTube to show what's happening?

I managed to get the smooth tool to work. I'm not sure what I did to fix it, but I updated unity to the latest version, loaded the scene again, deleted the terrain and then created the terrain again. Thanks anyways

Still an issue here as well. Very odd. All other brushes work fine just no change on Smooth Height.

I solved it by going to Package Manager (Packages: In Project) and removing the Terrain Tools Package

Still not working. In my scene, the smooth tool works on some terrains, and not on others. It has been over seven years since this bug was first brought up, and still not even an acknowledgement from unity that this is even an issue? this makes it impossible to use terrains

I finally solved this by increasing the blur radius under Smooth Controls. I found it was set to 1 and when I increased it the smooth height worked correctly.199111-smoothing.png

Where is this? I can't find a menu like that anywhere (in 2022.1.13f1). The tool is working, but it's incredibly slow.
