Nowadays, video game begin free really pulling attention but I need to eat and to eat I need money.I know that hash rate difficulty is still growing and I'm aware of how little I can make. All players will be aware of mining activity with promise (with I mean to keep) to miner end as soon as application and to don't use more than 1 Ghz of cpu power. To prevent various problems (like miner process not ended or antivirus false alerts about separated process) I'd love to put that stuff directly into game code. Do you know how it would be possible to create basic hashing script to use in godot ? If yes, where I should start ?
I didn't look over it but it might be possible to refactor miner.cpp to gdscript. And soon hopefully mono so we can just copy-paste a working implementation.

I think it's a great alternative to showing ads. I also remember seeing discussion about the morality and feasibility of it on another engine's forum but I don't remember specifics.

If it is .ccp that does mean it is C++. Godot supports c++ as "GDNative" to expand engine's functionality...... Duuuuuude what a tempting to learn C++. I already know a lot about C# but I heard it is pretty much frontend for C++ what I personally see as irrelevant because pretty much every language can be called frontend for C according to this logic. Consider fact that I have nothing to do until GoDot 3.1 stable.
There's a good reason now to reconsider the idea of trying to generate crypto-currency.
The value of coin from Bitcoin to Etherium are crashing and many mining farms have gone out of business. You will end up losing money once the electric bill is due, especially if you're unfortunate enough to live in a place where a kilowatt hour costs over 20 cents.
Too many people pinned their hopes on the idea it would be a "get rich quick" scheme and while the going was good for a while, investors later realized there isn't really any reason why something that's nothing more than bits (with nothing backing it) should have a ton of value
Yes electricity cost is an obvious concern for the person running the device. GarromOrcShaman is looking to push the cost down on the players playing his games.
So long as the player is made aware that he/she is paying for the game with electricity I suppose this might not be an issue morally, however I'm not sure that the publishing platforms would be very enthusiastic towards this. More importantly if they are ok with it they will want their cut too.

There was conversation about it on Game Jolt, they are fine with it.

Yeah haha I don't want to touch cpp for as long as I can avoid it.
Just create your game and monetize over Lightning Network using this: http://www.insert-coins.org ;-)
If you're interested in incorporating a hashing script into your game code, I encourage you to start exploring your options and learning more about coding in general.
I'm not very familiar with Godot specifically, but there are many online resources available that can help you learn how to create a basic hashing script.
I wanted to chime in and say that I don't think it's possible to generate Bitcoin through a Godot game. Mining Bitcoin requires specialized hardware and software, and it's not something that can be done through a game. However, if you're interested in trading Bitcoin, you might want to check out some resources online to learn more about price action entry rules and how to use it in your trading strategy. Just a rec.
Tamberg Mining Bitcoin requires specialized hardware and software
"Specialized hardware" for mining, is not fundamentally different from regular computers. And the software runs fine on PCs.
Two questions arise — moral and material. Well, the moral aspect, I suppose, in this question is not considered in principle (otherwise the question itself would not have been), and the material — yes, now it is, fortunately, very unprofitable.
It could be done, but it wouldn't really be anything in Godot. You'd either connect to a mining server already running on the computer, or embed it with a shared library (DLL on Windows).
So not impossible, but it wouldn't really be doing anything you couldn't just do by running standard mining software on the PC, so basically pointless.
I had implemented this solution a few years ago, it works fine, but the amount of money it makes is kind low. Of course it depends on how many players plays your game, and also the performance hit you accept in your game, mainly if you pretend to use the gpu for mining.
About the moral discussion, that funy how everyone brings it up but dont ever want to talk about it. I dont think its a moral problem if you inform your customer/player that your game is free but you will use it when its playing to mine, but doing that will cause other problems, like : hacking and gov atacks though you. So for me the moral point goes here, if you goes "moral", then get ready to get problems.
About the use of energy, sorry, I think its a issue for dumb people.
Integrating a hashing script into a game requires careful consideration, especially concerning ethical and performance aspects. It's crucial to ensure transparency and avoid excessive resource consumption. However, integrating mining scripts into games raises ethical concerns and might not align with platform policies. Instead, focus on creating engaging gameplay experiences. Regarding crypto, it's essential to research market trends, technology updates, and the project's potential. Consider whether to sell crypto or hold for potential long-term value.
When it comes to generating Bitcoin, one strategy that has been gaining traction is utilizing mining hotels. These are facilities specifically designed for cryptocurrency mining, offering top-notch infrastructure and support. One such option is https://ultramining.com/en/data-centers/ , which provides cutting-edge data centers for mining operations. By leveraging these facilities, you can maximize your mining efficiency and profitability. Plus, you get access to advanced technology and professional assistance, making process smoother and more lucrative.
