I want to set convenient settings after Android Studio updating: 3.1->3.3.

I have one problem: everywhere I can found empty middle packages, and I can't find the special option to compact it. Here I have just this options in 'Options Menu':

screen

You see, there are some not compacted empty middle packages:

java,ru,randgor,mygia,v4

What did that menu drop down from? Was that a right click or a top of app menu of some sort?Belding

I had this challenge and here is how I solved it.

The setting icon that showed the Tree Appearance option is no longer available. Android Studio Settings Icon for Tree Appearance Not Available

Right Click next to Android Select Option as shown below enter image description here

When Right clicked the options will popup

Click on Tree Appearance

The option to Compact middle packages will now be available for you
