EDIT

Use sdkman

This solution is too old to resolve any problem... Please upgrade your GVM to SDKMAN!

After that, I could use the gvm command to install anything.

In case you come here half a year later: gvm is gone, it's now "sdkman!".

i needed to install al my tools and could remove ~/.gvm/

Thank you... my Corp Proxy was the problem... Forcing the connection helped me (https://mcmap.net/q/1603469/-gvm-always-offline)! And yes, I update to use sdkman.Feeney
Is there a way to transfer installed software that's handled by GVM to be handled by sdkman without having to reinstall everything?Hebraism
@vonbrand Sorry, but your comment totally misses the point: GVM doesn't exist anymore, it's now SDKMAN. There's nothing more to say.Bourgeon
@Hebraism See https://mcmap.net/q/1631927/-upgrading-from-gvm-to-sdkman, it points to this article describing how to migrate GVM to SdkMan mike-neck.hatenadiary.com/entry/2015/09/17/234228 Content too long to include here. PS I did not have luck with the update, GVM remains offline, I suppose because the old links and server names have been finally disabled.Bourgeon
