I have successfuly managed to login to facebook via xmpp protocol.

I used PHP code provided in facebook's documentation found here:

I understand pretty much everything but I don't see any documentation for retriving online list, sending/receiving messages.

Send <presence /> to go online.
The server will then send you several <presence from='[email protected]/deviceID' /> indicating online friends.

Send a message like this:

<message from='[email protected]' to='[email protected]'>
    <body>Art thou not Romeo, and a Montague?</body>
</message>

where? after calling _main()? after print "Done<br>";Marsden
I added my code within xmpp_connect function before fclose($fp); --------- send_xml($fp, "<presence />"); print ("go online done<br>\n"); send_xml($fp, "<message from='[email protected]' to='[email protected]'><body>55</body></message>"); ----- go online part done but the message not sent !!. why ?? any help pleaseBarnacle
Hi Joakim...i tried <presence/> but facebook taking long and finaly showing timeout error..although i m able to send message to user.. but not getting online users.. pls helpMilkwhite
There will not be a response to the <presence/>, so don't wait for that. Instead you'll get several individual <presence from""> messages, so you'll have to listen for incoming messages.Euler
