There's a blue line appearing on top of my dialog fragment that I can't get rid off(I don't even know why does it appear in the first place. Does anybody know on how to get rid of this?

I have tested it on several devices and it works just fine on later Android versions.

My code:

    private void setupDialog() {
    final Dialog dialog = getDialog();
    final Window window = dialog.getWindow();

    window.setBackgroundDrawable(new ColorDrawable(0));
    window.setSoftInputMode(WindowManager.LayoutParams.SOFT_INPUT_ADJUST_RESIZE);
    }

layout:

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<RelativeLayout
    xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:tiktok="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"

I guess it appears when there is still a title bar. I just hid the title bar and it works just fine..

    dialog.getWindow().requestFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE);

These lines of code will work only when we place it before the 'setContentView' otherwise it will throw the exception :)Haney
In addition it fixes some layout gravity issues ;)Orelie

    var filterDialog=FilterDialog(mContext,"","","")
    filterDialog.window!!.setBackgroundDrawable(ColorDrawable(Color.TRANSPARENT))
    filterDialog.window!!.setLayout(ViewGroup.LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, ViewGroup.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT)
    filterDialog.window!!.requestFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE)//add this line.
    filterDialog.show()

add

filterDialog.window!!.requestFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE)

Use this changes:

on your DialogFragment:

@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

    setStyle(android.support.v4.app.DialogFragment.STYLE_NO_FRAME, R.style.my_dialog_style);
}

on your style R.style.my_dialog_style add the following:

<item name="android:windowContentOverlay">@null</item>
