Hi there,
I love Unity EXCEPT for the Package Manager, which seems to cause nothing but problems and wasted time. It massively disrupts development when I can’t reliably use anything from the Asset Store.
The Package Manager was working alright until a few weeks ago, when it began to start failing to load packages from ‘My Assets’ (those from the Unity Registry still load and update fine). Now, none of them load or can be accessed, and whenever I open Package Manager > My Assets, my console is spammed with:
[Package Manager Window] Error while getting product update details: Something went wrong. Please try again later. [Error 0
UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient:Done (UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient/State,int) (at /Users/bokken/build/output/unity/unity/Editor/Mono/AsyncHTTPClient.cs:248)
Another error received when opening PM in a fresh project is:
[Package Manager Window] Error while getting auth code: System.InvalidOperationException: Failed to call Unity ID to get auth code.
UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient:Done (UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClient/State,int) (at /Users/bokken/build/output/unity/unity/Editor/Mono/AsyncHTTPClient.cs:248)
I have been through every thread I could find on the issue, and have: logged out/in from Unity Hub, disabled my VPN, restarted my computer, cleared my Package Manager cache and nothing has made any impact.
I am running 2022.3.7f1 on Mac OS. Any help would be greatly appreciated as these ongoing issues with the Package Manager threatens my business.
Thank you.
It feels like Unity is a well-made American car, but the only way to get parts for it is to go to a crack head in a back alley named Package Manager who sells them out of his trenchcoat.
